Britannia’s Nursing Services is dedicated to enhancing patient care by collaborating with healthcare professionals, Nurse Specialists, and the clinical teams at NHS Trusts. Our specialised services focus on the initiation and ongoing support of people with Parkinson’s, utilising our device-aided therapies.

Specialist Support and Education

• Specialist Support: We provide trained Specialist Nurses and Assistants who assist patients, carers, and healthcare professionals in understanding and effectively using our devices.

• Training and Education: Comprehensive training sessions cover initiation, adherence, and compliance, ensuring that patients derive maximum benefit from their therapy.

• Continuous Communication: We maintain regular communication with the NHS Trust’s healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient progress.

Our Team

• Qualified Professionals: All Specialist Nurses and Assistants are rigorously vetted with advanced DBS clearance and trained in safeguarding, including child protection and vulnerable adults.

• Adherence to Guidelines: Our services comply with strict clinical governance and corporate guidelines, ensuring adherence to the Data Protection Act, GDPR, and ABPI Code of Practice.

• NMC Registered: Our Specialist Nurses are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and uphold a high standard of professional conduct.

Referral Process

Referrals to our services are initiated through the NHS Trust’s clinical team, with patient consent.

Our team conducts a pre-treatment review to assess suitability for service delivery, either in the clinic or in the patient’s home.

Initiation and Ongoing Support

• First Dose Administration: Specialist Nurses assist patients with medication setup and supervision.

• Education on Administration: We provide training on self-administration, equipment management, and travel considerations related to therapy.

• Follow-Up Care: Regular follow-ups and documentation ensure consistent patient support and effective communication with healthcare professionals.
