Britannia is founded

Britannia Pharmaceuticals Ltd was founded as a small, family run business in 1982 in the United Kingdom.

1992

Apomorphine

The first apomorphine product was launched in the United Kingdom. This product came in the form of an apomorphine infusion.

2004

Expanding Therapy Areas

The Mental Health Business Unit (MHBU) was formed in the UK to support schizophrenic patients.

2006

Registration and launch of apomorphine subcutaneous pen injection

Apomorphine penject in the US.

2007

Global Expansion with the STADA Group

Britannia Pharmaceuticals Ltd joins the STADA Group, expanding our reach across the globe, and securing our legacy as the global Parkinson’s Disease centre of excellence with the group.

2014

Continued R&D

Research and Development investment accelerated.

2018

TOLEDO Study

The TOLEDO Study is published. This was a Phase III, multi-centre, double blind, placebo controlled study involving 102 Parkinson’s patients.

2020

Lobsor Pharmaceuticals

STADA acquired Lobsor Pharmaceuticals, bringing an infusion treatment to Britannia’s portfolio of treatments for Advanced Parkinson’s Disease.

2025

Registration and launch of apomorphine pump infusion

Apomorphine subcutaneous infusion in the US.

 

ELEGANCE Study

The interim analysis of the ELEGANCE Study is published. ELEGANCE (NCT05043103) is an ongoing, 24-month, non-interventional, observational study to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and safety profile of LECIG in patients with advanced PD in routine care.
