The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the COVID-19 virus a global pandemic on 11th March 2020. We recognise this is a serious, evolving health situation and are undertaking steps as an organisation to play our part in supporting both patients and our employees.
Working closely with our supply-chain partners and relevant authorities, Britannia is taking several measures to safeguard access to medication for patients and healthcare professionals in relation to latest UK guidance and legislation.
While supporting healthcare systems is a key priority for Britannia in these challenging times, so too is protecting the health and well-being of our employees. To assist social distancing and help mitigate the spread of the virus, all of our colleagues not directly involved in testing and dispatching medicines are now working remotely. All non-essential travel and in-person meetings have been suspended and we are offering support remotely using a variety of tools.
During these challenging times, we kindly ask patients, healthcare providers and wider communities for their understanding and support. Our technical helpline, whilst still running will be monitored by a smaller team and you may experience longer wait times than usual and delays in connections as our staff will be working remotely. Please be assured we are working to keep this available during the COVID-19 outbreak.
