BritLofex (lofexidine)
BritLofex is a non opiate, non-addictive treatment which is used for the
management of withdrawal symptoms in patients undergoing opiate detoxification. BritLofex
can be used in conjunction with Opizone (see below). Further

Opizone (naltrexone)
Opizone is a non opiate, non-addictive treatment used to help prevent
relapse in patients who have been dependent on opiates. It works by
blocking the euphoric effects or ‘highs’ of opiates – eg heroin,

Crystapen
(benzylpenicillin)
Crystapen is one of a group of medicines known as penicillins. It
is used to treat infections such as ear,
throat, chest, heart and bones. It may be used to treat some sexually
transmitted infections, meningitis, blood infections, and for the prevention of
infection in newborn babies (specifically group B streptococcal infection).
Group B streptococcus (GBS) is a
common cause of severe infections in newborn infants in the UK, affecting
around 700 babies each year. Crystapen can be administered to mothers
during labour for the prevention of GBS.
